Katharine Parra's parkway beautification project on Avenue 43 next to the Rodriguez Market was freshened up on Saturday June 13th.

MHIA President Roy Payan put out the call for volunteers to pick up trash, weed, dig holes and install new plants. Participants included Rose Aleman, Elisa Read, Pat Griffith and Martha Benedict. Several neighbors stopped by to encourage the workers, promising that they will come to help next time.
